Our south Devon campsite offers a total of 70 pitches, including 20 designated for touring caravans, on 2 adjacent fields. In August we also offer a number of camping pitches on our Top Field which, whilst further away from the facilities, offers unrivalled views out to sea.

The main 5 acre field has been thoughtfully terraced and tree lined to provide level pitches offering extra privacy. Hook ups are available on many of the terraces and our fresh spring water points are never far away.

All of our pitches are generious and well-spaced, with large open areas kept free of camping for children to play safely. Most pitches have wonderful views, either across the valley or out to sea – many with both. 

The smaller adjoining caravan field is gently sloping and offers 5 pitches for both touring caravans, motor caravans and tents-all with hook ups and water points. Our small fleet of luxury 2 bedroom static caravans, available to hire, are also in our caravan field.

Upon arrival all new guests are given a brief introduction to our camping park and the local area including any upcoming events, great coastal walks and special places to visit.

Please remember that specific pitches can be reserved for any future visit.

Our entire park is now WiFi enabled.

The toilet block is situated in the caravan field and consists of:

Mens: 4 showers, 6 wash basins and 2 shaver points.

Ladies : 4 showers, 8 wash basins and 2 hair dryers.

Disabled/family shower room.

Private unisex shower room with toilet and hand basin.

We provide luxury Cole and Lewis shampoo/shower gel within each shower cubicle.

The utility room provides three sinks for dishwashing (washing-up liquid is provided), 3 washing machines, a tumble dryer, one chest freezers for ice packs, a larder fridge, a microwave, a payphone, a USB charging point, and a small library exchange.

At reception we have a well stocked and licensed shop selling toiletries, fresh fruit and groceries, local bacon, sausages and ham, milk, a full range of dairy provisions and a good selection of chilled lagers, local beers, local ciders and wine. We bake fresh croissants, loaves and baguettes in the mornings and also stock some basic camping equipment including camping gaz and all those necessities that you may have forgotten to pack- like tent pegs!.

Karrageen's very special water supply
Our beautiful pure mineral water supply comes from our own spring and is UV-filtered for your added security. We ask that it is used carefully and, because it is not pressurised like a mains supply, we do make a minimum charge of 20p for showers and dish-washing hot water. The added advantage of this is that we rarely experience queues for showers.

Please feel free to take a few bottles of it home with you when you leave us!

We do not have a club or bar or children’s playground but we do offer a well-stocked shop with freshly-cooked baguettes and croissants daily, and plenty of space for children to play happily and safely.

We have facilities for touring caravans, motor caravans, and tents of all shapes and sizes. We take booking for these pitches and recommend that you book ahead, especially in the school holidays, as we are not a large park and are usually full during these periods. Karrageen is family-run. We do our utmost to ensure that your stay with us is an enjoyable experience. Many of our guests are keen to return every year.
